The dock leaf - the seed of an idea:

dockleaf – the humble wayside plant is famed for its medicinal powers … and for a company headed up by a doctor, the derivation of docleaf was perfect for the company set up to help others take the ‘sting out of a crisis'.

During his time working with a medical assistance company repatriating sick and injured travellers, Dr David Perl completed over 1,000 missions in more than 80 countries witnessing just about every crisis situation imaginable. He saw how ill equipped most companies were to deal with these incidents and the potential damage that this could do to their corporate reputation. Whilst some larger organisations took their responsibilities seriously, others were ignorant of the impact a crisis would have on them.

Dr Perl set docleaf up in 1998 to provide companies with expertise and support in the event of a crisis. Since then the company has grown and has a highly qualified team working in many areas of expertise extending the range of services, working in every corner of the globe and across a number of different industry sectors.
