Training around the human issues
Training workshop are designed to inform and prepare staff who may be asked
to attend an incident site to offer support to customers and staff following
a fatality.
It is also suited to those staff who may have to provide telephone support
to friends and families who have been impacted by a crisis.
Training is aimed towards those who may have interaction with survivors of
a crisis either face to face or over the telephone.
They need not have had previous experience of dealing with traumatic situations
but must be prepared and able to listen, have a caring nature and understand
people.
The course is primarily about looking after people, their immediate needs following
a crisis.
It is not about technical or organisational issues.
