As an FYI, we received some local coverage with the London bombings (I even did an on-camera interview), as well as a small piece on CNN headline news (very favorable - we were referred to as a program that puts that safety of its students first).
Finally, I wanted to tell you that the simulation exercises paid off beautifully last week. Once we heard about the London bombings, we activated the team, I arrived into the office about 330 am and the place was already abuzz with activity. Team members were moving about without being assigned, collecting information, making phone calls and setting up hyde park (our conference room where we run the sim exercises). We had a our first team meeting about 345 AM, and I have to tell you that, when I stood to address the group, there was a great deal of comfort because it felt exactly like the simulation. We knew what to do because we had done it before.

Last year docleaf helped us manage a major incident when fires and high winds threatened one of our properties. Although the situation itself was beyond our control, thanks to docleaf's training, we were prepared for the worst.

docleaf provided us with immediate additional resource - their team brought considerable expertise and hands on experience which proved invaluable allowing us to respond confidently and efficiently to the whole situation.
In our industry, there are so many variables, you know what can happened but you can't always predict when - thanks to the work that docleaf has done with us - we know that we are well equipped to manage a crisis situation.

Late last year our company was involved in a terrible crash with an oncoming car. Sadly the driver of the car and her baby were both killed. This was extremely distressing for everyone concerned including members of staff and clients travelling on the coach. Thankfully we had docleaf on hand. As soon as we called them, despite it being mid Christmas holiday, they were able to provide immediate help and support. You have no idea how reassuring it is to have someone on the other end of the phone, who knows exactly what it's like in this situation.

Previous training with docleaf enabled us to put our incident plans into action, confidently and effectively. One of the most beneficial things was having access to docleaf's trauma team who were able to provide emotional and practical support to all of our clients and staff. On a practical level docleaf helped us provide the media with a holding statement which enabled us to focus on looking after all those caught up in the accident.

Working with docleaf gives us a great advantage; it gives us access to all the skills and talents of a large company. The knowledge of their people is second to none and they really know their stuff.

I hope we never have to call them but because they are there - I can sleep at night. The fact that we have docleaf; services on tap gives us that extra confidence.

Thank you for all your help following the tragic child fatality we recently experienced in France

It was a great comfort to me personally and to my colleagues, that we were as prepared as we could have been by virtue of the training you provided and the existence of our Crisis Response Procedures which you helped us create.

The crisis response procedures worked well for us during a harrowing time and the knowledge that a whole team of specialists and the emergency call centre were just a phone call away made dealing with the crisis less stressful

We found the expertise that we did call upon reacted very quickly (regardless of the time of night) and this alone was much appreciated.

Due to this tragic incident the need to be prepared for a crisis has really entered into our daily thinking. We, as a company, have learnt a lot of lessons and there is now a real interest, company wide, in being even more prepared for any future incidents that hopefully will never occur.
